How’s this for a great service? Yesterday I went to Thrupps to buy pastry cases for a tart I wanted to make. I confess to being grumpy that they didn’t have pre-done cases or frozen pastry…after all they are renown for having a great range of products.
In response the staff members got their bakery to make me my own personal batch of short crust pastry! To make it easier for myself I bought two pretty glass dishes, which they used to roll my pastry into.
The result – instead of selling me some frozen pastry they ended up selling my two dishes and the pastry and bought themselfs one happy customer!
